Karate team creates history

Indianteam created a history by winning 2 gold and 5 bronze in Commonwealth Karate Championship held in Edinburgh.AIKF officials felicitated youngsters at the Cricket Club Of IndiaVispy Kapadia said that youngsters created a history.Anirudh Sakpal won 1 gold/2 bronze medal,Seeta Patel won1 gold,1 bronze,Arzoo Jain 3bronze,BehramKapadia,AyaanAnsari,Natali Dalal,MonaliRoy and ShrishtiGodbole each won bronze medal.Nobody expected them to do well,but once they started winning bronze then their hunger went on increasing and then they created a history.Though it is second most played sport in the country,they did not got any sponsors nor they got any fanancial support.All participants had to bear their own expenses.

3 killed on Expressway.

Three occupants of a Tata Indica car were killed when it jumped over the divider on Mumbai-Pune Expressway and collided headon with a truck which took place at about 11.20am on Tuesday near Ozarde village.Victims were Baban Nalawade an advocate from Kalyan,his nephew Shrikant Maneand his clientSalunke from Satara.The car was travelling at a high speed when it collided with the divider near 78km milestone and then thrown on to the opposite carriageway. The impact was so serve that its front portion went under the truck.IRB official had to use the crane to bring the car out from under the truckThey had to use force to open the doors to bring them out.

New Coastal rules may hinder development.

Officials from civic agencies told chief minister Vilasrao Deshmukh that CMZ restricted the use of additional FSI,which could hamper major projects like Dharavi redevelopment,MTHL, Mumbai International Airport project and many SRA projects would come to standstill.When Sharad Pawar expressed concern in the meeting with the ministers.Deshmukhasked for the extension in the deadline for submission of objections/suggestions on CMZ notification.In a report by MMRDA,BMC and CIDCO,the agencies expressed apprehension about provisions in the notification and sought clarity on points like ascertaining the Set back Line.(SBL)

Drunk youth rams car into autos,runs over 10

Sunil Shah and Chirag Jain had been studying at a local coffee shop since evening.Shah had brought Corolla car,but left it in the coffee shop's parking lot and decided to to drive Chirag's Swift to his residence to collect his study notes.At about 11.30pm,after having paan,Shah took U-turn and banged the car banged into an auto after the auto driver applied brakes suddenly.The car then hit another auto to its left,having lost control of the vechicle,shah swerved left and ran over nearly ten pedestrians.Shah was produced before a metropoliatian court on Monday and released on bail.
